Before attending the lessons, Lameck struggled with alcohol and lived without direction. His life lacked the purpose and stability he longed for.
His journey began through the Breathe Free and Trauma Healing programme, where he was introduced to teaching about emotional healing, faith, and the possibility of a different life.
Understanding that healing is possible
Through the lessons, Lameck came to understand that God can heal emotional wounds and give new purpose. Instead of seeing his circumstances as something that would define him forever, he began to believe that healing and a renewed sense of purpose were possible through faith.
“The Breathe Free and Trauma Healing program helped me understand that God can heal emotional wounds and give new purpose.”
Choosing to follow Christ
Lameck made the decision to follow Christ and quit alcohol completely. For him, giving up alcohol was part of a wider change in direction — away from a life without purpose and toward one shaped by faith.
A life marked by peace and fellowship
Lameck’s story began with a life without direction. Today he describes something very different: peace, hope, and the fellowship of other believers walking the same road.
“My life has changed, and I now enjoy peace, hope, and fellowship with other believers.”
A new beginning in community
After his baptism, Lameck joined the Baptist Church. His story did not end with leaving alcohol behind — baptism and church membership are part of his continuing journey as a follower of Christ, in the company of other believers.
Lameck looks back on the change in his life with gratitude, and he gives the praise to God for His work in his life.
