For Kondwani, prison was a dark place. He carried guilt, shame and fear, and believed his life was finished.
“I thought my life was finished and that God would never forgive me.”
When the Purpose Life team visited his prison, Bible studies showed him that Jesus came to seek and save the lost. He surrendered his life to Christ and was baptised inside the prison.
“The joy I felt that day cannot be described. For the first time in many years, I experienced peace in my heart.”
After his release, the team kept visiting and helping him grow. A church was planted in his village, and Kondwani now serves as its pastor.
“I praise God for turning my prison sentence into a testimony of His grace.”
“For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
